Our Instructors

Richard Prideaux foraging guide in Wales

Richard Prideaux

Our Lead Instructor and founding partner.

For over 15 years he has worked in outdoor education, expedition leadership, outdoor safety and risk management.

He is also a passionate forager, hunter and angler, working with businesses and brands that use wild plants in their products – as well as Michelin star restaurants and chefs from around the world.

Over the past 10 years Richard has worked behind the scenes (and occasionally on camera) as a technical advisor and consultant on television shows and movies.

He lives in North Wales on the borders of Snowdonia National Park and Clocaenog Forest.

Amy Green

Our Assistant Instructor.

For over 10 years she has worked in the field of wildlife conservation. She has conducted ecological surveys, planned and carried out habitat maintenance and worked closely with landowners, volunteers and colleagues.

She joined Original Outdoors in 2019 as a way to share her passion for wild food, places and life.

She lives in North Wales on the borders of Snowdonia National Park and Clocaenog Forest
